What's on your "back-to-school" shopping list?

We did our first "Back-to-School" shopping trip this past weekend. Although, really, it should be called "First-time-to-School-Shopping".

On Foster's Kindergarten "needed supplies" list we have:

-box of colored pencils
-package of 4 Dry Erase markers
-two large glue sticks
-kleenex box
-package (8-10) Crayola Washable Markers
-erasers
-liquid hand sanitizer
-backpack

Foster got to pick out the kleenex box (he chose a red mickey mouse one) and the erasers (basic pink) and the backpack. OMG - the backpack. It is now considered part of his body. He selected a Spiderman one and now insists on taking it everywhere including to bed.

We drew a line at him taking it now to preschool. He is allowed to take his "older" backpack to preschool but not his "Kindergarten" one.

Kids are funny...

Holy cow. Kindergarten. Wow.

K loves backpacks. We have several and it is rare to see him without one on him or near him. Kids. :)

Isn't it amazing, real school shopping. I'm taking Brendan tomorrow to order uniforms. It's amazing how quickly they grow up.

Backpacks are a BIG DEAL I've found. I'm glad Foster likes his!
