Running club at school...Foster ran over 75 miles since school started. Cool kid.

Oh this is most awesome! Tell me more about this running club... it sounds awesome! How do students participate? How do they track their mileage?
Sonya - the kids get to run around the track before school starts, at recess and after lunch. Each time around they get a ticket (handed out by parent volunteers and/or the "lucky" teacher that has "Running Club" duty that period). They turn them into their teacher who keeps track of the mileage in the classroom. After each 25 miles or so the student gets a popsicle (really popular in the summer) and then they get ribbons at each 25 mile mark. I think it's 4 times around the track for each mile. Foster LOVES running club and will give up other recess activities to run. We're so proud of his accomplishment! And he's getting so healthy and strong.
